Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (DREMC) is a member-owned electric cooperative, serving an area of approximately 2,500 square miles across 16 counties in southern middle Tennessee. POSITION PURPOSE:  The Business Analyst works collaboratively across DREMC departments on a variety of projects and cooperative functions to ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service at the lowest possible cost. This role provides support to a wide range of functions, requiring flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of the team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behavioral patterns that support DREMC’s 11 Essential Attributes, including but not limited to flexibility, adaptability, integrity, accountability, and collaboration.
  2. Works productively with the DREMC leadership team to improve processes and support departments with special projects.
  3. Consistently produces high-quality work while modeling attention to detail and accountability for established deadlines.
  4. Gains understanding of current business practices across multiple departments to aid in development and/or improvement.
  5. Possesses the ability to learn new skills quickly and apply critical thinking to assigned projects and responsibilities.
  6. Prioritizes initiatives based on cooperative needs and requirements.
  7. Data analysis, including high-level work in Excel.
  8. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to cross-functional team members and management in a professional manner.
  9. Creates clear and concise reports for use by management to implement business solutions.
  10. Possesses the ability to think strategically to ensure the best outcomes for the DREMC team and membership.
  11. Conducts research and industry analysis as requested.
  12. Perform other activities or duties as may be required or directed.
  13. Consistently models the Leadership Principles of Leadership Landmines, 8 Management Catastrophes and How to Avoid Them.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education — Post-secondary degree from an accredited college/university in business or a related field is required.

Experience — A minimum of five (5) years of business experience with one (1) year of experience in the utility industry preferred. Previous experience with leading teams and/or project management is desired.

Certification/License, etc. —  Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Tennessee Drivers’ License. Must be eligible and remain insured as a driver by the Cooperative’s group liability policy for the automotive fleet.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills preferred.
