NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 26, 2014 – The Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association, a trade group representing the interests of electric cooperative members across the state, announced today that Alex Perkerson joins the association as government affairs specialist. NASHVILLE – Krista Herrod of Hendersonville joined the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association Monday, Aug. 19, as an administrative assistant. A 2010 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro with a degree in nutrition and food science, Herrod previously worked as a receptionist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She grew up in Hendersonville and graduated from Beech High School. In her spare time, Herrod enjoys running, traveling and scrapbooking.
NASHVILLE – Todd Blocker is joining the staff of the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association as Director of Member Relations. Joe Jackson currently holds the position and has announced plans to retire in January. Since 2006 Blocker has served as the Sales/Marketing Manager at Utility Equipment Service in Spring Hill. Prior to that he served as a Regional Business Manager for the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative in Herndon, Virginia. While with NRTC Blocker served as a liaison to the rural electric and telephone cooperatives in nine southeastern states. Blocker is a native of Maury County, Tennessee, where he currently resides.
